About artsmix*

artsmix* was born out of a desire to promote a range of activities that recognise, reflect and celebrate the diversity of local artists. We work closely with the business community and individuals developing art-based opportunities and initiatives across Leeds and the wider Yorkshire area.

Some significant achievements to date:

• The artsmix* Markets, held at The Loft Leeds, Pudsey Market Place, Brewery Wharf, Clarence Dock, Castle Howard and to compliment other events in Leeds and the surrounding areas

Our Development
Established in 2002, as Equality Workshops, by a small group passionate about the opportunity that art offers as a tool for individual empowerment and community enhancement, we are now a major arts force in Leeds and the wider Yorkshire area. Who’s Who
artsmix* is made up of a Business Development Manager and five core staff and technicians, all with designated areas of responsibility. We are supported by three directors and a steering group of eight (a mixture of actual artists and people from the business community) who share an interest in the arts and a belief in our values - our directors and steering group members support artsmix* on a non-paid, voluntary, basis. We are also affiliated with a range of local businesses who provide professional services and business advice.
