We have specialist equipment to help you develop your skills in jewellery production, wood-working (including wood turning) and screen printing – producing as you go.

The ‘Pay as you use’ Artsmix* Workshop provides flexible help in producing your own original work - a unique opportunity for you to create using professional state of the art equipment, in a supportive and creative environment. ‘Pay as you use’ means you only pay for what you want, when you want it – no commitment to an annual rent or contracts.

The Workshop has been developed in consultation with many of the artists we have worked with and supported since artsmix* was first established.

Our team of enthusiastic technicians will initially show you how to use the specialist equipment and train you in essential health & safety. They’ll then be there to assist you as and when and if you need. Read More…

The Workshop is the perfect environment to learn new skills, meet creative people, share information, discover opportunities and produce finished goods. Novice or experienced, all are welcome and will benefit from our fabulous facilities.

When are we open?
We can offer flexible opening hours with core hours between 10.00am and 10.00pm 7 days a week, 51 weeks a year (we will close between Christmas and New Year only). If looking to use the workshop after 5.00pm and on the weekend please be sure to book in advance to ensure appropriate technical support is on hand.

How much will it cost me?
The pay as you use rates are:
£5.25 per hour
£50 for a block of ten hours (these can be used all at once or split as best suits you – though only in full hours)
£27.50 for initial operational and health & safety training (compulsory)
£40 for full artsmix* membership
£20 for workshop only artsmix* membership
(note: yearly membership is also compulsory to be able to use the facilities)

Until 2009 we are happy to offer some special starter packages:
• For just £60 take advantage of the ‘Workshop Starter Package’, which includes: workshop membership, induction and health & safety training, 5 pay as you use hours and ongoing technical support.
• For just £75 take advantage of the ‘In The Mix Starter Package’, which includes: full artsmix membership, induction and health & safety training, 5 pay as you use hours and ongoing technical support.

Where are we?
The Workshop is conveniently located in Sheepscar, less than a 10-minute walk from the city centre bus station, easily accessible by bus, and boasts free on-site car parking facilities. We’re just down the side of Enterprise Rent-a-car.
