Jennie Beaumont – artsmix* Business Development Manager

Jennie has over 25 years experience of working in the third and public sectors. Originally working in the Music Industry, initially as a singer/songwriter then progressing into promotion and publishing, for a number of years she ran a successful project, Goodwood Music. In the 80’s Jennie moved into Leisure Management and Sponsorship and then finally into Further Education where she has been working since 1988. Jennie has never lost her passion for art and music and believes firmly that art, in all its forms, is a great communication tool that opens up space for dialogue, discussion, innovation and has the capacity to bring communities together. As a founder member of Equality Workshops, now artsmix*, she has finally realised her dream of starting an arts and craft market in Leeds and is a key member and driving force behind the growth and development of the organisation. Jennie always adopts a creative ‘can do’ approach to life and is passionate about supporting and enabling emerging artists.
