“I am interested in exploring the dichotomy between figurative and abstract and journeying into the relationship between colour and composition. My paintings are influenced by my memories of people, places or atmosphere. A quick sketched outline is the foundation for my painting which develops with manipulation of bold colours and shapes which juxtaposed creates structures resembling landscape, cityscapes or an event that the viewer can recognise. I am driven by dynamic colour which is significant in my work as it envokes passion, creates beauty from the mundane and reflects my influences of inspiring painters such as Picasso, Kandinsky, Miro,as well as many living contemporary artists such as Nahle."
