Giles produces unique suspended sculpture made from hundreds, or even thousands of individually hand crafted origami models.
Using this technique to capture moments in time or create a statement about personal obsession and the world around us, the sculptures are seemingly impossibly complex but beautifully simple in their expression
In 2007 Giles was short listed for the Artsmix Emerging Artists awards.
In 2008 Giles’ work was featured as part of the Monochrome exhibition at the Lund gallery Easingwold.
‘Orbit’ a new commissioned installation piece was installed at the Loft in Leeds (Corporate Events Space).
Amnesty International chose an image of Giles work for to be used as part of the Belarus Freedom of Assembly, Association and Expression Campaign.
In December a new installation piece will be going on display as part of a group exhibition at Arts@Trinity , Trinity Church on Boar Lane Leeds.
