Marianne has been a regular and successful stall holder at The Mosaic Market for a number of years.
Marianne takes her graphic sense of imagery and places this onto found & recycled (often everyday) objects, giving them a completely new ‘lease of life’. Marianne’s original and often humorous interpretation turns the ordinary into unique and highly valued art forms.
Marianne combines her practice as an artist with a Curriculum Co-ordinator Role at Leeds College of Art and Design.
Art or Craft Form:
Decorative Found Objects – Hand Painted, Original Imagery.
Textiles/ mixed media.
Soft sculpture/ original soft toys (for adults & children).
Cards/ stickers/ brooches.
Current News:
In 2007, Marianne won first prize for ‘The Established Trader’ at The Emerging Artists Awards.
Marianne currently has some work on display at the Leeds Craft & Design Gallery.
