Jewellery Making Workshop (Make your own silver ring)

Course Description

This is a 4-hour practical jewellery-making workshop for beginners. Suitable for anyone new to jewellery making or those with some experience who are looking to make a textured band ring and fancy brushing up on their skills.

You will learn a variety of core metalwork techniques through working on a structured project to make a silver ring. Techniques involved are, annealing, texturing, forging, soldering, filing and polishing.

You will use and become familiar with blowtorches, rolling mill, forging equipment and polishing machines.

Course Fees (payable in advance)

£107 (artsmix Members) £127 (non members) Fees include tuition, supervised use of equipment, hand tools and all materials. You will be able to leave the course with the ring you have made.

Or get a group of 3 or 4 together and we’ll do our best to put a special course on specifically for you and your friends.

Due to the practical nature of these courses it is not possible to take any more than 4 people on any one course, so be sure to book your place in good time.
